WP 6 Determination of socio-economic impact of natural disasters

The objective is to review data from natural disasters, wich may result from sudden events such as earthquakes, landslides and floods, which can result in ground collapse or geotechnical engineering problems and to quantify the social and economic impact. Blind spots in on-going RTD will be identified and WP 6 shall formulate recommendations for future RTD. With this workpackage Geotechnet shall contribute to the determination of priorities for future investment and to mitigate the cost caused by natural disasters.
